I have a young Pekin drake who has a cut on the bottom of his foot.
You can tell that it is quite painful for him. For he stands with the foot up in the air
and is limping when he walks. I looked at it and it seems to be a clean cut.
What if anything can I do for him. I don't want it to get infected.
BTW I have no idea how he cut himself.

I would spray it with blue kote to kill any germs. Is it a deep cut? If kept clean (out of the muck where ducks like to be..Ha!) and if you hit it with the blue kote I would think it would heal just fine.

That doesn't sound deep to us, but to him thats pretty deep! I am assuming that its in the pad of his foot. Blue kote should work fine. That stuff is wonderful. Vetericyn is also good for healing. It oxegenates the area for faster healing- although its pricey. Good luck
