Joan- You just made me drool all over myself with the chicken corn soup. Never had that til I moved here.

Well then, I will have to make it for the picnic!

My oldest daughter lives in Brooklyn, every time she comes home her request is chicken corn soup. Sometimes I make it, sometimes my mom does but we always make sure we send a quart or so back with her too.

Ok, I know we are discussing the party, but I have to tell you this, so please forgive me. When I was first married, my mother in law tried explaining "chicken Pot Pie". Well, where I come from, it's IN A PIE.....LIKE SWANSON MAKES. The massive confusion of my poor mother in law trying to explain that the pie dough goes IN THE SOUP was hysterical! Thankfully, she showed me how to do it, and I have done fairly well at it. But GEEZ! I would have still been putting it in a pie crust and trying to bake it!! LOL!!! Maybe you can teach me to make the chicken corn soup sometime????

Absolutely I can teach you how to make the soup! Since you are already an accomplished cook, it should be fairly straight forward for you.

I just didn't list those. I could do those instead of the cookies. I f I keep this up I might have to take Friday off work just to get the cooking and baking done! LOL

I am happy to help! Actually i have a freezer FULL of our sweet corn from last year. It needs used up. We cooked, cut and packed over 200 dozen ears last year... YIKES!! If i thaw it out, can i feed it to the chickens?
