. The best surprise was my test hatch of my BCM hen x Silver Ameraucana roo. All 3 came out silver with yellow bellies, bearded, feather sprigs on the legs and pea combed. I am in love, and think I'm gonna get as many eggs together as possible to hatch, because I'm getting rid of that roo soon. I'm in chick heaven. Kiomey, you're gonna love them!!

I picked up the acorns to make the boutteniers yesterday...need to order the silk leaves for the aisle runner, and get that made. Need to get the music list together and have a friend burn the music for the reception. Vows I think are done, but need to do the rest of the ceremony. And no, no chicken ring bearer though I may use some of the feathers from my flock in the boutenniers and bouquets.

Has anyone ever had a MEAN duck? I've raised ten pekins so far and the biggest drake I've been growing out is just getting to be downright nasty. I've never been BITTEN by a duck before, but he bites and twists with a vengance. I do NOT even remotely like this duck anymore. I was planning on making him the breeder drake, instead of buying a new one, but with this? Not a chance, that sucker is going into the freezer as soon as there's enough meat on him, and maybe even sooner!

If you are able to get them, I'll take whatever you and Blackcrest don't want. It's possible BC and I could combine transport, cause we're in the same neck of the woods. I can use the small gates, and whatever else anyone doesn't want. If you get them, are you able to keep them til the middle of next week?
