There are certain sections of the store he used to frequent, but hasn't been in for months, like the eggs and soap section. He would appreciate the shampoo too, if he had hair. Eventually, after we move and have the space and can afford to do so, I plan to have yet another freezer and go in with my brother or someone to get half cows and a pig as well as a lamb each year and venison (if we're lucky). Probably wishful thinking, but hey, I'd LOVE to not buy from the grocery store ever again.

i don't care for the wool lambs meat, but my husband brought home a little hair ram, found him some girlfriends and before i knew it i was raising hair sheep, finally figured if i was going to sell lambs, i really needed to try what we were raising, turns out, i like it, wool sheep tasted to me like yuck, wool,
hair sheep has no wool, so there for no wool taste. if you get a chance to try it, go for it.

Really? I don't like the tallow from it, but it's like venison tallow to me. I don't know if there are really any hair sheep around here. This was a suffolk lamb. I still have the pelt in the freezer until I have time to work it. I think, other than the tallow, that he's pretty tasty. Maybe G will like hair sheep better though.
