Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

A longtime friend (since we were in kindergarten) was over to help pack today and stayed for dinner... she has pictures up on facebook of her "dinner mate", our little black serama, who sat on the back of the chair across the table from her during dinner. I realized after she posted the picture that our house might be the only place you can expect to dine WITH a chicken... whole new meaning to having chicken for dinner! And, for the record, we ate beef.

Cute!
I have been telling my husband that our lone little OEGB hen should become a house chicken. She's such a doll and she doesn't fit in with the other chickens. She's the last bird I own from the first month of owning chickens. I went to TSC for my birds before I got edumicated (yes, I spelled educated wrong on purpose). Anyways, out of over 70 original birds, she's the last... She'll be 2yrs old this spring.

Um yes...
oh wow, pretty, we've had ostrich and emu's but could never find these, be very careful, i know the emu's can rip you with the feet nails pretty good.
Yeah...I'm considering them. Really wanna research well. Found a place hmmm....I'm guessing out your way that has some. Yeah the emu slashing fence with a claw thing kinda scares even me.
You know, I hadn't considered the camping option, but now that you mention it. I love to camp, and so does DH! OMGOODNESS, I smell a BYC campout!! We should all go to this! Chad can bring the O.J.
What Chad!? Me Chad? OJ....Yep take that along camping...That's part of our survival gear...big bottle of vodka and assorted drinks to mix with.

Morning Ranger! Yep drinking my orange juice....

Evening Ranger! Need my vitamin C, burning it up canoeing and biking...
Hmmm...There's one surefire way to a mans heart, we'll just leave it at that.....

That's definitely a conversation starter

Anyone going to this thing? It would be great if our food listed GMOs. I certainly do not know if what I'm eating OR feeding my kids has been genetically altered, and I can't promise that I would always 'make the right choice', but I sure would like to be offered the choice..

I really hope to make the Harrisburg CPT/Animal Husbandry Class on March 7th

And ALSO the Maryland Swap! I love the idea of our Avatar pictures as name tags.

Oh! Speaking of Non-GMO, Erin (the June swap organizer) said yesterday that there will be a vendor there that sells non-GMO chicken food at really good prices. Yet another reason to attend!!
