Dominique Roosters available,.
They are not mean, I just do not need 4 roosters of the same breed.

Will go camping in a couple weeks, just checking to see if anyone can use them.

It's rooster season everywhere I guess.

If anyone wants a rooster they are probably afraid to advertise that for fear of getting mobbed with offer from people wanting to give them one.

I met a lady yesterday who was planning to drive an hour to give her 2 roosters away because she didn't want to have them eaten. We do feel an attachment to them and would like to imagine a happy ending.

I wish I could take one. I want dominiques in the worst way (I've got an established flock of buff orps with a roo already). I've got to work on DH to let me add onto my chicken family. I've got to get a separate coop and run in (and since he got shafted with doing 75% of the work on the current one---mostly out of me taking too long to do it myself and he can do carpentry in his sleep), he won't let me do it until spring.

I think chickens are some of the most entertaining animals I've ever encountered. They each one have a different personality and interact in a giant feathered soap opera in my back yard. I can't imagine eating any of them. Even if my roo were aggressive (he isn't), I currently can't imagine eating him. DH wants to eventually get some Cornish x or other breed to raise for meat. These birds already all have names (which I'm getting scolded by a lot of local chicken people for having named them) and my kids adore them.
