Give me lead time on the rabbits :)

Good afternoon all:

Since someone mentioned food, I have to share our adventure. Today we shredded and packed 200 lbs of cabbage for sauerkraut. I'm exhausted and my hands are KILLING me lol. The good news is its done for and we'll just have to can it in 7 weeks.

They are very attached to their cage. They organize and put things where they want them. A new cage is like you being somewhere new that you don't know about. Mine sometimes run in circles when scared. They eventually settle down.
oh great, ours have been in the chicken yard running with the half grown chicks, they're not going to like being put in a cage in the barn, but at least i will know nothing is really wrong with them, just hate cages

Talk to me about canning sauerkraut... DH loves it, for me it's just meh. I'd like to make it but I worry a big batch won't get eaten. Being able to can it in smaller jars would be ideal.

I do not make it since I am the only one here that what's it..
Seen an article awhile back about making it right in the canning jar, all in one step instead of having to repack it.
Will go searching for it.

Interesting, how well did they get along, what about them sharing food, did the chickens peck at them. Wonder if rabbits could share one large pen with bantams.....just thinking out loud here.
