Our leaves only really began to fall about a week ago.

Chickens weren't having anything to do with the snow today. I opened the door for the geese and ducks though. They don't mind the snow.

Turkeys don't mind the snow at all!

I got these English Orpingtons through an egg swap in the spring. I'm just amazed with their size! They're enormous!

those turkeys look awesome too!
maybe i need to rethink the new types for next spring...did want something that laid a more 'colored' egg..just for heck of it..would be fun for the g-daughter.

If you're on Facebook, there are a couple groups that you could go to and ask around. There's Pennsylvania poultry, egg, & farm swap or Pennsylvania farmer's exchange.

So weather sucks .... again... snowing all morning over at Mom's

So I made soup to warm the insides, since it is so cold outside. Chicken noodle soup, the ultimate comfort food!
