My 1st Article Submission.....to BYC Contest! Ya all remember those nasty vent pics!! LMAO!!

My Article is being submitted because I almost lost my Beautiful Blue Cochin, Fluffy due to Vent Gleet this past Summer. What a stressful learning experience and WOW hard to find information to treat naturally. My girl was so thin and so wasted away and this treatment was AMAZING so I just have to share everything I learned in the process this past summer, and trust me I kept ALL the information I found and all the pictures I took when I was trying so hard to figure out what was wrong! So sharing is hoping to help someone else in that same stressful situation to get through and have the info they need at hand.

Thank you for your help, I will keep you posted, I have an appointment for the vet Tomorrow at 6:30pm, I think  I am going to take her off the meds  and taker her food away when I get home an supply her with only fresh water until we get to the vet and see what she says upon further examination. thoughts on that? Yay or Nay?

This has probably already been addressed (I'm a few pages behind). The picture you posted looked like sour crop, I'm fairly certain that sour crop smells sour because there is a build up of yeast. Antibiotics make yeast worse, so I would lay off them and give some probiotics (yogurt with active cultures)at least until your appt tomorrow. Best of luck to you.

Finally figured out how to do this.. ..w/ some help from my 23yr old haha, sorry I went alittle picture crazy ..just tryng to get it done!!!..and alittle excited..hee hee..Oh, and the little-guy testing out the coop is Caesar, my Pom.

LOVE the coop, but MAN! That is one odd looking chicken, is it a cross? ; )

Thank you! She was one of my favorites and would tug on my pantsleg to let me know she wanted to be picked up. Then I would have to carry her around doing chicken chores one handed!  I will miss that girl!

Oriencia is my fav.. She nips at my pants to pick her up as well... Hoping for good news from the vet tomorrow! Fingers crossed!
