Psh. I find it to be CLEANER to walk on the bedding than to walk on the bare soil. Before we started using bedding, my feet were always BLACK, and I'd have to wash up every time I played in the garden. That kind of thing is EXACTLY why there's the wash cloth rule... Use the wash cloth for your body, legs and arms, use your hands only to wash your face, feet and umm, nether region.

My tomatoes were like HEDGES! I never got anything off of them though, because everybody could still reach every last tomato on those darn plantsactuall

Well that's true, after a couple of waterings/rains I find it much "cleaner" walking in the garden now that I put down the use coop bedding! We are over run with deer in our area so our garden is fenced in...I get tons of tomatoes! Of course my flower beds aren't quite as full now that I have chickens but fortunately I have lots of flowers beds so the chickens spread their foraging around!

thats why I said Bad stuff!, but sometimes if you are having an issue w/ bad plants...(we had poison oak&ivy growing from the neighbors unkept mess to our yard)..I know about the Keep away from animals thing...definitely don't want them around for awhile, I wasn't sure in what application MC was needing it for...just need to get rid of some grass...or have some weeds in the garden...really don't wan to use spectracide in the garden, Like Chad said, stays for awhile.

As a profession round up is the way to go as long as you use per the specs. I had a situation where fish died in a pond around where I had sprayed. I learned A LOT during that ordeal and in the end it was a fish virus and not the spray, but found out that it is the safest thing you can use on plants that will not harm animals.

I find that as long as I spread it fairly thin and not too close to the plants that it doesn't effect anything but the weeds! Now if I let it sit in a pile the dogs think it's a playground and go for a roll in it!
LOL. Yeah thin is the key. In concentration it's bad news. To raise mushrooms I had to wait 6wks to get the nitrogen down. Tomatoes will eat that up.

HEY ALL!!!!!!!!!
