Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I'm near Bloomsburg, at the moment we have a mix flocked of EE, 1 RIR, 1 SLW covered by 1 Ameraucana roo, 1 EE roo, and a mixed Brahma roo. I'm trying to find homes for 2 of my roos. My girls want to hatch some eggs(set on the 13 of March after we come back from vacation in TN).
Your not too far away. I go up to Elysburg every other wknd with my kids and could be a transport if you need be to the flat lands lol
In her defense, I was either going to call 911 or Sally. I looked around.... no signs of chickens, peeps, eggs, or fermented feed. My thumb was ready to dial Sally!
What if she saw a chicken along side the road on the way?
I will be there along with our 4H Poultry Leader. I don't think anyone else in our club is going. Boo.
Awesome!
You know, I sent my application and check in last year at the end of May and I JUST heard back from Stacy this month. I have to question the system they have, for sure. I'd still like to do my CPT training, but I can not go to Harrisburg for it. Tunkhannock is closer.
These classes I arranged. The classes they have regularly I have no control over. So these fell on my shoulders.

And if I say so myself the first went well and was better than expected.
Me x1 ....or don't I count?
I know you too, looking at the new ones.
MY TRIP TO BEAGLADY'S HOUSE
BY,
MOTORCYCLE CHICK

Once upon a time, there was a woman looking for BCM. She was very interested in their chocolate colored eggs. She also wanted a rooster so that she could sell eggs and chicks to the other chicken enthusiasts nearby. So a nice woman a few hours away said, "Come, my love. I will sell you a trio! If you wish, I also have two other trios for you! An EE trio, and a trio of Salmon Favorelles. Are you interested?"
"No, thank you! I have some eggs that will hatch out to EE, and I don't see getting more. Your Favorelles are pretty, but I don't think I want them either."
While walking to her car, the nice woman began talking about hatching out some green egg layers. The younger woman agreed that she too had this in mind. And then it clicked! So the women turned around, and returned to the pens to get 2 Splash EE. It was then that the nice woman asked if the other woman would like a duck.

The younger woman was tempted, but knew she wasn't set up for ducks ... Yet.

While dining with the nice woman, the younger woman was again tempted. This time by more dogs.

THE END
Hmmm...I got lost somewhere in the woman talk
Of course we count! We just don't need books. : )

Betta and yall

What do I need to know about Turkeys? can they eat medicated chick starter? can they be sexed at hatch?
I am thinking about getting a few from K&K feeds????? FOR MEAT

Turkeys need higher protein than chicks. If you can't get turkey starter, gamebird starter is also high protein. Especially true if you're raising broad breasted ones for meat. I can't remember if turkeys can have medicated starter or not. I know waterfowl aren't supposed to. If you're riasing meat birds, sexing probably won't matter. Both wil get big. If you're getting BBW's or BBB's, with the intent of raising one for Thanksgiving, wait til summer to get poults. They will be dinosaur sized by t-day if you get them now..

I've been using the 24% chick starter for turkeys and ducks. It works just fine, no angel wing or anything. You don't need to spend $35 on a 50lb bag of turkey/gamebird feed if you cannot find it or wish not to spend a fortune on it.

Betta - thanks for the info. I was just at tsc and the Dumor chick starter was listed as chicken, Turkey, quail and maybe other stuff. That was the 24% starter.

Is it bad my coffee table is taken up by two hatchers and there is a container of wine fermenting next to it?
