After meeting a bunch of you yesterday at the CPT class I was told to come find you. Well, here I am.

What details do you wanna know about me? I have 18 buff silkies of various ages, 6 white silkies of various ages and 2 blacks. I have a layer pen of barred rocks, hatchery quality but, **** they lay well. I have a pen of lavender orpingtons that are just starting to lay. I have a pair of splash LF cochins about 3 months old, gorgeous birds. I have 3 BC Marans directly from Bev Davis. And I have a pen of mixed babies that will go into the layer pen when the time comes.

I live in Spring Grove, which is South Central PA for anyone not familiar. Been a rural carrier with the Postal Service for almost 23 years. I have 3 kids, 24, 20 and 6. And, no, that was no a typo, they really are that far apart. Married to Brian who thinks they only good chicken is the one on his plate ready to eat.

Well, my house is overwhelmed with poultry again

Chicken math strike? I think yes.

It all started with the usual drive to TSC to get feed. horrible mistake. I had Khaki Cs 7 years ago, so seeing baby duckies tore at my heart strings. And why not get some chickie companions for them? Came home with 4 ducklings, 6 RSL, 4 meaties, a buff rock and a white silkie. Ok, 16 isn't too bad right? and it's not like I'm keeping the meaties forever...

literally 3 days later, my 4H leader passes. Club is in shock. Adoption process is organized for her 150-200 Adult birds. I come home with a pair of Wheaten Ameraucana bantams, a pair of standard Buff Ameraucanas, and a Splash silkie pullet. Unexpected, but hopefully everything will be fine!! Gorgeous birds...







30 eggs make it to lockdown. 7 out, 3 more pips. it's only day 21. NHR look like they're not going to hatch well, so why not order 4 more from my feed store in June? Didn't seem like a bad idea at the time

Not to mention 15 Porter turkeys coming in June. Heritage birds, so I decided that I'll probably order 2 BBB and a blue slate from feed store. Blue slates look cool, why not?

So probably making that 18 turkeys...

I am so sorry to hear about your 4H leader oh my! so glad you could help them with the birds. awwwwww that stinks

Don't worry Sally, you're already a CPT in my book. When I need advice, I go to folks on here, not a CPT, LOL!

We're in Myrtle Beach. The shells are almost as addictive as chickens. Margaritas help.

LOL oh Thank goodness!! No I had some minor surgery friday morning in and out, just pain meds is all. I am much better but feeling a bit run down tonight so I took another one.

I have alot of chicks right now, but I have a coop with 9 LF, a coop with 11 LF, a pen with 3 LF, a pen with 7 LF, pen with 5 silkies and out of them 6 Roos will be processed in a month

4 serama + 2 bantam EE + 6 cochin + 2 OE + 2 silkies + 14 serama + 7 serama + 5 WFS + 7 spitz + 5 cochin + 4 silkies + I sold a bunch today!
and the coolerbator is um sorta double stacked at least for another day until I candle.....


serama will be grown out a bit so Harmony can choose her breeders b4 selling

most cochin will be sold
the 2 tiny banty EE x aucana I will sell and the 2 OE's
Spits and WFS are sticking around of course!

scary thing is crazypetlady sent harmony over 2 doz hatching eggs, hens choice that day! most of her birds are GFF!
so Harmony will have a ton of odd ball expensive chicks hatching and she will want to keep everyone!

Hello! Im moving to south central (Hegins) PA the first week of April. I currently have about 50 birds that I adore! I wont be able to move them all, so will be hatching like crazy as soon as I get all settled in. Would love to get to know some chicken addicts in my area!

Wingstone, You need to get your binoculars out and look for Sally again. She's MIA. The Hatch-A-Long set was at 12:00 noon today, and still not a peep from her, VERY UNUSUAL! I am actually really hoping she's okay?? Sally Where Are Youuuuu....
