The honey sold in most retail stores is not raw honey ~ it is processed, heated and heavily filtered to prevent crystallization. Most do not sell Wildflower honey as wildflower honey is not consistent in color and flavor from hive to hive as it comes from whatever floral source the bees can find.NEEDED !!!
Local beekeeper who is willing to sell honey,....preferably within an hours drive....and preferably wildflower honey, but will consider others if the price is right.
i am all out of my stash,,,i prefer to use honey instead of sugar in many things...a local supply would be great as i am paying shipping for it right now...
can not always be sure that the stuff in the store is what it says it is, and at those prices not worth the chance.
Dutch Gold does sell from there plant at good prices ~ however their honey comes in tank trucks from all over the US and Canada and is heat processed and heavily filtered. And Dutch gold sells direct at their plant in Roherstown. Lots of different kinds, case discounts, large quantities. Also sell jars and bottles at good process.
will check this out, wasn't aware that they sold from the plant..
I do sell raw wildflower honey from my home in northern York County ~ however we are almost out until harvest time in mid July. We sell our honey for $6. a pound.A. Sgtmom and I believe beaglady both have apiaries.
B. If all else fails, I picked up a 5 gallon bucket of honey from Juniata county, it's clover. I have it in Pint Jars now.

Lancaster County Beekeepers' Assoc. has an active club and may have a list of sellers of wildflower honey.Chad I would prefer to buy local, just have not found the wildflower honey local that will sell it raw.
