ummmmmm someone DOES need a coolerbator for sure!! OMG! can you even buy 7 eggs at a time? LMAO!

So, I found a breeder that has 4 of the breeds I am still looking for. Cream legbars, barn elder, basque and crele polish. So if I build an incubator, I will be hatching some of these out! After a test hatch of course. Problem is, she is in CA. Is it too risky for me to attempt hatching eggs shipped that far? The eggs won't be cheap. I don't want get my hopes up or set my self up for failure and lose them.

I wouldn't risk it from across country. They flight USPS shipments and altitude alone will burst air cells. If you can its best to stay within a neighboring state or at least east coast where they are typically trucked in. If you keep searching you will find the breeds you want and great sellers as well.

uuummmm......please do not throw me under the bus for this.. ......but.....do any of us really need bigger incubators ???

Some of us just need incubators....or broodies.

They will probably need psychological evaluation after they realize that a 1000 of their brothers and sisters have been roasted in their first "home".

LMAO

Should be able to use it if it seals reasonably well

Or you can just take all our excess!

That's an option too!

So many locals have sooo many breeds...why fly in from CA?

Sally, I shouldn't encouraged you, but this mini fridge or mini freezer uses the same parts as a cooler Bator. I use three turners, but could build racks on pivots with a hand Turner device amd easily fit more eggs. 10 dozen is enough ( too many). Water bottles in bottom to help stabilize temp, fan in top pointed up spaced with wine corks.
The fridge was free. It had been through a flood and ruined. Door has large double pane plexiglass window from an old piece I found laying around.

OMG!!! I have a large sized freezer in the basement that stopped working............

anybody want it????

Super excited. It's finally warm on a non-gym day, so we're going for a bike ride as soon as he gets home! He's been out a few times already, but it's my first time this year. I used to hate riding on bikes, now I've gotten to the point of loving it!
Then we'll get the second cage setup put up and more shelving in the garage and plant these raspberries! Yay for gorgeous weather!
