You found 1 link on egg bound hens. I would just search here. I had 1 girl I thought was egg bound so gave her extra calcium & lubed her rear with a syringe full of veggie oil. She worked it out herself within a week or so.
Well it was a quick search! and she has such a soft lovely tone about her!! HAHA!!! I am not sure she is egg bound, if she is and it has been this long would she still be alive? I would think she would be in more distress, not that she looks distressed... I am outta here in 30 min.. Going to go give her a good once over to see what i notice! Will report back promptly!

I like Kiomey's plan for people who are going but not showing, arrive at 11, meander around, chat up yer BYC peeps, grab some lunch, bid on some silent auction items, hear about a bird whose breed you have been considering, and somehow missed seeing yourself, walk back to look this bird over, and discover the judges are still in that aisle and it's blocked off. Walk into the next aisle to see a different bird and step right in the way of a different judge.

Check out champion row, check out the sale birds, convince yourself you really DO need another trio. Watch Blarney walk away with scads of silent auction items. Drive home wishing you bought those call ducks that were only $15/pair. The end.

Oh, and it will be loud and smell of shavings and bird poo.....it's awesome.
Sounds fun!!! I think i can be there around 11 as well!

I put mine out pretty early. I lost some leghorn chicks though because of the age difference between them and the seramas, marans and turkeys though. Tonight I'll finally be kicking out some 4 week old poults and chicks. I've been so slow on getting the second set of cages up, but they're going up today finally. Not a moment too soon either... The dust is AWFUL! I swear it builds up an inch per day!

Well Betta, we are practically neighbors as I am in Snow Shoe. You have seen our forecast. I have 2 white leg horns and 2 red sex links that are the 6 week old girls. It is pretty much draft free up there, meaning the windows in it only have chicken wire over them. They can easily be covered. They are hogs and make a mess and are becoming more stinky by the day! Ready to kick them out! Lol

Been there done that. Website is on my profile

Yeah I'm past Missy.
My schedule is going to be changing starting May 1. So if need be I can do more running...
I don't know what your looking for.
I'm not right in the head...it's all left
You figure you are running a kWh in 2 hrs just with those 2 lamps running. So 12 kWh in a day. 360 KWh in a month on two lamps. So one lamp at 250W creates 1kWh in 4 hours.

1 250W bulb
0.45 per day
$12.60 / month

2= $25.20/ month
3=$37.80/month

To keep chooks warm

So Gmama 3 lamps running since October = $226.80
Pfffft... Math man.

Should be in the 50's for the weekend. Mine are in the main coop, with the big fatties heating it up. The heat lamp is a 250w bulb. At six weeks though, I'd be kicking their butts out the door. I don't have the patience for dusty birds in the house, lol.
