Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I hope it doesn't come down to people having to choose which wedding to go to. That would suck. Hour sister should wait till next year, imo. She just met the guy and only seen him once in person. People online are different than in real life. Hope it works out foe the both of you!
It is next year, but she wants to put money down to hold the place now. Mine's March 22 (I have 2 contracts to sign and everything will be booked), and she said her's (according to her) will be May 3. We're hoping to talk them into waiting until fall of next year, it'd be better for the guests. From my point of view at least.

Quote: This is the key. There is a difference between hoarding & having a flock or breeding birds. Hoarders get in over their heads & can't handle the pets they have. If you have the means to care for them & make sure they ARE cared for, no matter how many you have, you can never be called a hoarder. You are just a "collector" then.

As for sis, ummmm...yup! I can't say anything though. I've jumped in before I should have myself, BUT never have I agreed to marry someone after only meeting them once. To me, people like that just don't live in this little place I like to call reality. There is no way to really know someone without spending LOTS of time in their presence. Even then, sometimes they can fool you for a while, but eventually it all comes out.

Hoarding is when you give up the house to the chickens, and build a coop for yourself. I am one bird shy of that now.

We're somewhere around 50, counting the ones we will be picking up in a few weeks, but we have 10 acres for them to roam (although they stick very close to the coop.)

I have over an acre & I've lost count on the birds...LOL HOWEVER, they are all well taken care of.

(With a feed bill that matches my rent each month they BETTER be.

I'm quoting you on that.

Like I said if it gets to be too much they'll be dinner or find new homes...and I would NEVER put them before Gavin (another sign of hoarding), the fiance MAY be another story

I can't tell him that, but I did want them before I wanted him. That counts right?
I'm on season 2 episode 1 of the hoarding show and it's chickens!!! Darn it!!! LMAO

ETA: They had Rob Ludlow on this episode! Gavin looked at the screen and goes, "Look Mom BackYard Chickens!" Nope he's "never" reading what I post or where I'm on LOL.

Ok, apparently when you start your multiquote at night, and try and finish it the next morning, the system doesn't remember your first quotes.

So.....

Welcome Mike!

If anyone wants on the map, get me your zip.

Hope everyone is enjoying the warm/not too hot/beautiful/need to go swimming weather! We are! Took the littles to the lake yesterday, got there a little after 9 and left a little after 1. Took them for ice cream...and the 3 yo was fast asleep! Poor guy...he was tuckered out. Took them to the playground and then to the farmer's market. I'm sure their mom had them in bed early last night!

Think I'll head out to the lake alone today...need to get some actual swimming done, vs watching like a hawk over the kids.

my zip is 15066
