I now take back what I said above. If anyone can tell me what is going on with the turkey conversation, I would appreciate knowing.
Before, LMP and I were talking about turkeys, then I found out someone else was getting turkeys, and I may be able to get some from him (if he ever decides what he is getting) or if I have to order my own BBW/B, I may be able to give (he won't buy, only sell

) him my extras. Then ... The dog's vet told the dog's father that she would like a few, but IDK if she is looking for Heritage or just meat.

So I need to know what is going on with where to get turkeys, what breeds, and what numbers I must get. Just so I am informed. Someone hasn't been keeping me in the loop.

...you guys are awesome!! The best part of this whole adventure is learning things I would have NEVER otherwise have known...chickens/turkeys, ferment, diseases, treatments of all kinds & on all types of animals..gardening..carpentry, healthy poo and others who love it all too

Dubbing is NOT a pretty thing and its really stupid for showing birds. But we dock puppy tails too without a thought. I wouldn't even think about dubbing, but for medical reasons and the health of my Roos end up in jeopardy from frostbite I am going to do it. But I can tell you this much, I wont be doing it in a nonsterile environment, yyyyyeeeeeee gads some of those vids on youtube, what are people thinking! is it that hard to use sterile tools in a clean environment!

Some folks don't care much about how humanely they treat their animals, they are a commodity, nothing more to them. Others just were never taught any better...

yes Fisherlady that is my backyard,,,I looked at the pics trying to figure out exactly where,,,,,If that is the location I think it is...they would be within borough limits,,,no chickens allowed..

like anything else, if no one complains it is overlooked, atleast that is the way things work around here

Ah-ha... crowing was probably minimal when no sense of 'competition', but now that there is a 'new kid on the block' they probably started a crow-a-thon that riled neighbors!

hahaha, yeah..turkeys..*check, meaties..*check...rabbits...*future-check...goats..well, i am still working on that one, BEES...this one too is a hard limit!! .....now, we have been watching Farm Show stuff, saw some Alpacas...saw a little twinkle in the eye...maybe...hahahahhaa...that would be so flippin' awesome!!!!! Oh, and I have 6 birds now...wasn't going to be more than 4...
