For some of you that have been wondering about where to buy small economical coops. I have a friend that is a chicken owner and his day job is working at a place that builds mini-barns. He is interested in building small economy sized coops. I told him that there are some people that want small coops within the $300 range. He is willing to see what he can do to build a quality coop and see if he can do it within the $100 to $300 range. His name is Brian and here is his cell #1-717-537-5361. They have no land line phone.

Hatch day! I've got baby chicks galore

I love seeing what has hatched since the last time I looked. Got 3 Midget White Turkeys today, the last from the old tom that passed away in Feb. I can't tell yet if the new tom is up to the job.

Me too! I put the first 9 in last weekend. I'm not planning to keep our GNH flock intact as a breeding group, but I have some customer that want some chicks, so I'm hatching some for them before I integrate the GNH hens into our main laying flock.

I had two bunnies free ranging after they managed to open their cage. I put out live traps with pellets, but of course they weren't interested since there is plenty of nice grass.

Inspiration! Hung a water bottle at the end of it. Two days, two bunnies!

My bunny right now is free ranging. Today was the first day for my rabbit in an outdoor area and he snuck out.

So, this sounds weird... My aunt does nail art - some really cool, wacky designs and stuff - and she called me looking for different color egg shells for a project... I'd really like to help her out cause shes really excited about it but I'm down to three laying hens, and nothing too fancy... so I thought I'd ask any of you nice people if you have a colorful egg basket you'd like to share. Just shells! Anything really dark brown, pinkish, olive? I think she'd get a kick out of quail, or Cuyuga ducks (I've heard some are almost black?) Anything neat looking!
Anyway, PM me if you have anything to share - just rinsed off, broken egg shells in an envelope, not whole eggs! :) And I can PayPal a couple dollars for postage and your trouble. :) Thanks!
