Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Hey guys, I'm still alive!

Went to the Fayette swap today, and managed to not buy anything! I have 25 birds now, last year at this time I had 10 or 12. :lau

Also swung by the poultry show barn, most of the stuff in there looked great, but a whole aisle of cornishes had some profuse bubbling from their eyes. MG is always cute, especially when you can practically feel and picture it clinging to your clothes as you walk through. :) I felt like I needed a shower after that. I peeled off 3 off the 4 layers of clothes I had on before I even got out of the car when I got home.

On the bright side, I got the okay for turkeys in the spring!!! :yesss: I've been talking about it for awhile, and there were so many for sale today. My dad was gobbling back and forth to some before that in the show barn, and I think it sold him.

There were a lot of call ducks there today, and the only white pair for sale weren't very good quality and way overpriced.

we went too, i ended up coming home with another cock bird, a light brahma , hubby thinks i'm crazy but never had a chicken this big, my brahmas look like babies compared to him and from what i understand, he comes from one of the top breeder, of course he never came into the show barn so he should be safe, only thing, hes use to a heated barn

Good thing brahmas are SUPER cold hardy! Was he under that huge carport thing across from the barn?

I don't know if I'm near any chicken people but hopefully I can still get the Banty pair the chicken train and maybe some RiR hatching eggs or a mix of hatching eggs n start over I don't mind raising them in the house over winter it's nice to have the company n chickens are great listeners lol and the glass of wine suggestion it's a good one I'm definitely going to do it thank you all for listening I just loved my chickens and my trio of saxony that I lost it stinks but I can't give up I won't and I also lost a source of income so I just need to pick up the pieces and start again. I lost all my layers so I won't even have eggs now. Again thank you all for listening it really helps getting it off my chest.

Thank you I have a breeding pair of pekin ducks yet they aren't laying yet but duck wise I'm going to wait till spring I want to make there water feature bigger and better till then but again thank you for the offer it truly makes me feel better even though that may sound silly it warms my heart.

no, i saw those and to be honest , they did tempt me but when the lady showed me the cock she had in the back of the truck, that did it, and found out they were the aldrich's from michigan, decided i had made a good buy, they're top breeders and hes the president of the brahma club, most everyone who raises and shows brahma's say they're tops

I'm not sure where your stop is along the chicken train route but if you're stop is after mine, I can send along some hatching eggs if you want. They'd all be mixed breeds since my birds aren't seperated but i have ameraucanas, Marans, Rhodebars, silkie mixes and other randomness lol.

I am in Schuylkill county and I would greatly appreciate some hatching eggs if you are along the way for emorems0. All of you are amazing I don't think I know anyone around me that would be willing to help like you all let alone understand my love for birds.

Looks like your stop is long before mine. I'm sure someone else will be able to help you. Unless you want some eggs shipped to you.
