Hope everyone stayed safe and warm tonight. We got lots of snow today with this storm. I really wasn’t expecting it to lay because we had had so much rain, and the ground was pretty warm.
The turkeys still wandered around, looking less than their best after a morning of drenching rain.

Thankfully, this seems to be the only tree that fell near the house. It’s maybe a 15-20’ section of the top of a pine tree. Thank goodness we have a chainsaw.

The turkey eggs look fertile! Good boy Henry!

Upon closing the coop tonight, one of my Biele girls was outside, and her comb looked shiny. She was also soaked. Someone must have gotten her good, her comb was dripping with blood and it was running into her nostrils, making her breathe through her mouth. Poor thing. I brought her into a cage in the garage so she could dry off and clot in peace. Hopefully it’s nothing more severe. Always an adventure with having outdoor animals!
