Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

South central PA, i have a couple white laced wyandotte roosters to sell. They were part of a package deal. I already have a rooster and he doesn't play well with other roosters. The one is in perfect condition, extremely healthy and BIG BOY. Has beautiful metallic sheen in the black feathers. The other one has a bad case of deformed feet. Will probably end up eating that one. But i really don't want to eat the other one, he's too perfect and would make someone a great breeding stock. Make offer or trade for pullet of same breed or even another gold laced instead. Prefer bantams.

Glad you got that fox but sorry you lost a chicken. Im pretty protective of my critters too, came outside one day and saw a "stray" dragging my favorite chicken across the driveway, took me all of 2 seconds... chicken luckily was uninjured except some missing feathers. I'm still kinda miffed the dogs were just standing there watching. . . They are taking their leave the chickens alone training a little too far.

With winter around the corner I'm going to have to start graining my chickens more. And I sell my extra eggs. So I'm trying to figure how much I should raise the price. I have had a lot of people say I'm selling them to cheap. I'm selling them for $2 dozen. I'm in Lancaster county close to Dauphin county line. What is you guys opinion.

Hey guys! What do you use in the coop to help it smell better? I use shavings and sand. It's not bad, just a musty smell when everything is wet, like it is now. I'm thinking something along the lines of potpourri, scented oils, a spray? I just want it to smell better lol.

My best bet is extra ventilation, and fresh pine shavings. I am going to remove some more panels from my coop and put hardware cloth instead for better air flow. I will keep the panels to replace when it gets very cold.

I found a gash on her side but it's not on the side with the weird leg. I can't find anything won't with her leg :/

I’m so sorry you lost her. :hugs She must have been pretty far gone when you found her.

Would anyone here like a free plastic sandbox with a lid? I tried using it for my chickens and they were afraid of it! It is in good condition --it even holds water if anyone needs a shallowish duckling pond.

I sure could use one. I think I’m adopting 3 ducks soon from a friend.

Just chased a fox away from my chickens. It almost got one.

So sorry to hear about your fox. I think it’s that time already. We ahad a predator attack yesterday, but I’m not sure if it was a fox or a hawk. Hubby only told me later that he heard a commotion, but thought I was outside at the time. The predator got my last two small bantams. I don’t know what breed they were, but they were so cute and tiny.:(
