Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Hello. I’m from PA living in AZ but moving back in the next year. I’ll be moving to York county. Just wondering what the rooster laws are if anyone knows. I currently have silkies I’m breeding. Thx

Welcome back to PA, soon.:frow
Totally agree with @fangedknight , Zoning Ordinances generally run from township to township. If you know where you'll be housing, (township), just givem' a call. They most likely even have a website with all kinds of information about the area & the local government.
Good luck on your move back!

Got a blue egg today. Mabel laid weird shaped ones so I think this is from Laverne or Shirley.

also, here's Alice Fae

She is beautiful Maggie!!:love
Do I see red hair, maybe strawberry blonde???
So awesome:loveSo happy for you & your family.

WELP! Today's been quite the adventure. Susan went out to check the birds and found our Splash Am, Sweet Pea wasn't doing so hot. So she brought her in for a bit. Unfortunately she didn't make it

However while we were out getting nutridrench and supplies to take care of her, we popped into TSC anddd they have their ducklings. 4 Golden 300s (Which are Metzer's Hybrid Laying ducks) and 1 Rouen (for me of course).

Candled the goose eggs... all of them were still clear, we cracked them all open and none of them were fertile. :hitThis has me really sad. HOWEVER! Susan did find 3 more goose eggs while she was out checking on the birds, so I have those three in the incubator now :fl I'm hoping and praying that these are fertile I just really want to hatch my own goslings.

Aww I'm so sorry for your lost and for the goose eggs :( Hopefully the next few eggs are fertile. I loved when my boys were goslings! They did our morning walk around with us every day (still do if they're out lol)

Welcome back (soon)! I would call the courthouse and see if you can get any info on the place you'll be moving too.

I hear they can be very "dog-like" in their personalities, follow you around & they make great yard security.

Very much so! Sunshine and Lollipop follow us all over the place but really won't venture from the yard. It's been basically claimed as their "territory". They're always right in the middle of anything we're doing. Especially Lollipop. He's "helped" us paint, clean a carborater (sp?), Pull up roots and sticks when we were digging out a stump. He even burned himself trying to help burn out the stump! I never said he was smart lol. They're true picnic sharks too lol

Would like to see about some Orpingtons , DH thinks they would be fun to watch do their thing in the yard. We do enjoy the fluffy butts.:D
*I would REALLY like to add some colored eggs to the carton.

I have Olive egger pullets and will have BBS orpingtons soon. I don't know if you'll be on the path of the chicken train or if you would be interested in Meeting in Tyrone or Altoona you wanted any :)

Have to remove a few girls first & would like nicer-warmer weather to do it. The inside temp. of the barn is about 20*..not nice when your hands are damp.
:clapwill definitely keep you in mind on pullets!! Thank you so much. We were actually looking at your website last night. DH said, "there are only chicks"...I told him sometimes pullets are available, but not advertised, you just have to ask.
Finding some place to meet-up won't be an issue, your not too far from us & we don't mind a drive, especially if we come back with something or someone;)!

The geese, yeah..been on enough picnics and fishing trips to know what can happen when we get into THEIR territory:oops:!! :lau..funny when your not the one they are after
Chickadee. our Marans, is my helper when she is out & about. She knows what the shovel means.. WORMS & anything that has nasty bits:sick!!.
I have to watch I don't catch her with it when digging something up-out or turning over the garden. She likes to talk to me too as we work, she will growl if I don't move fast enough..it is funny.
