@fisherlady I’m so glad you’re well enough to be out on the boat! My summer has been exceptionally quiet. The good news is that I put in my first vegetable garden in years. Even canned some tomatoes last week. :drool

I ended up using a new method, new recipe (which the kids tested and approved) and got 9 quarts out of it.

My Welsummer passed away last evening. It’s a relief because she’s been acting like she’s been dying here and there.
A crazy storm is raging right now. If @OneMountainAcres is getting it, I am sure she will have trees down.

Just rained here :) We had a massive storm coming in across the lake as I was getting off work but I think it must've fizzled out or I just drove out of it lol. No trees down that I know of. Hopefully there's none down at the park.... tomorrow is my last day of a 7 day stretch and I don't want to clean up trees.

We had so much noise from wind, rain and thunder, I couldn’t even tell if there was hail. It was just constant noise and vibration. I occasionally saw out long enough to see the trees waving.

With all these rainstorms, the tube feeding system I DIY'd last year isn't working (pic is of the tube feeder/waterer on the mini coop for quarantine and such, but I have two of the same in my big coop. The waterers are fine, but the feed gets wet in all 3.). I've sealed everything as well as I can figure, multiple times, but water keeps getting in and I'm not even sure where. I'm ready to give up and buy ready-made tube feeders. Any recommendations?

In the picture above, it looks like blowing into the dish/catcher is the only way for water to get in.
That could very well be what's happening.

Try wrapping the lower section of the tube where it connects with duct tape.
I've been reluctant to, because that's also the easiest place to clean it out when it gets wet. But it's probably time, since I'm running out of other options. I'll give it a shot, and if it still doesn't work, I'll buy a replacement. Thanks.
