hi we drive up from wva. takes about two hrs . most of the time there are very good turn outs. they have a big show two times a yr thats really when the very big crowds are there. you have people from several states selling all kinds of birds .but on other days it is good place to sell trade or buy . we have bought and sold lots of stuff there. hope this might help

No, I only have 5 boys and they are still growing out (only 12wks now). One may already be spoken for, but I haven't heard from the woman lately. I think I decided to keep all 5 if she doesn't decide to trade. I just have no girls to cross them with - Orp or Cochin. I am working on that, though. A local breeder has 75% LF English BBS Orps and I believe I would like to get a few blacks from her.

Anyone else going to the Central Pennsylvania Avian Club Auction on Saturday? I will officially be there. I am taking mostly pet/breeder quality birds to sell.

I was going to take some of my nicer pet/breeder birds, but I have a case of face lice going through my free range boys. The birds I have in coops are clean (except one), but I am not taking any chances and dusting everyone and keeping everyone home. My single cooped bird had a Starling in her coop with her, so I am assuming that's where she got it. The 3 birds housed on the other side of the wall are clean... I honestly can say I am not surprised - after this last year with chickens, not much can surprise me...

Harry, if you get on and see this (or if you are coming up to Bloom tomorrow), but... I don't know if you have any available, but I am looking for a Lav Am roo and I can't remember, but don't you have BW/W Ams? I am after a nice BQ/SQ Wheaten roo. I had leg springs pop up in my pen, so Dorian (my BW roo) has to be replaced and I think I know which girl is causing the issues, too.

Sorry, I only have one lavender rooster right now. I lost two gems to a fox plus the hens that were with then luckily I have this rooster in another pen or I would probably have to start all over which may be much better than the other bird I introduced into them that cause a lot of problems to illiminate. Also I have no wheatens only blacks from Will Kitcsh from last year and my lavenders and splits. Maybe I will see you there if I have the luck to attend. I sold a lot of pullets there over the few years I attended the they went for a fair price not too cheap and not overly expensive. Harry

I went. I bought 8 ducks. Two adult Pekin girls, 2 peking duckings and 4 grey (which I assume are actually blue) Swedes.

I was going to buy the only 2 Delaware girls there, but I noticed one was looking bad and she may of had leg mites. There was a gorgeous buff Orp rooster beside them I was eying. Very typey! I don't have buffs and I didn't need another rooster or he'd of come home with me.

There wasn't much there in the way of chickens - not what I was looking for, anyways. There was 2 white legged project buff Ameraucana cockerels there and a wheaten Ameraucana. The red on his wings was barely there and he was small. His tail set was to high as well.

Peacocks/hens went high. Guineas went high. Diamond Doves were high. Not that I know what they usually got for, but I though they were high. Everything else was reasonable that I saw. I didn't stay for the whole thing. To loud and to crowded. I paid $12 for 3 of the 'grey' Swedes, $5 for the 2 Pekin and 1 Swede duckling and $12 each for my adult Pekin girls.
