Penny the one legged chicken has lost her other leg. What on earth is going on?

If anyone else comes across this problem, you do not have to put your chicken down. I have a chicken and both of her feet fell off because of frostbite from her previous owner. She has two little nubs and I just wrap some vet wrap around them once a week so she has some protection on them and she does great. She lays an egg a day, and runs around killing grasshoppers etc. She is happy and content and it doesn't handicap her at all. Chickens adapt well.
