people dumping geese

I see kids like that everywhere and parents think it's cute when they chase birds around, etc. I was watching the news about the big surf we're having and some kid was there chasing the birds around behind the reporter. I talk to the parents about this who are usually not paying any attention to their kids, especially nowadays when they're all on their cell phones, iPhones, etc.

Do you have a local Audubon Society? When we removed the Chinese geese from the wetlands, I spoke to them with regard to permissions and such. Although their interest is in native species, they did have a person on staff that was poultry knowledgable. Our situation was different, because we sought to remove them from wetlands that were owned by a private company. For permissions I spoke with the "Friends" of the specific wetlands, the company who owned the land, the Audubon Society and the mayor. You've already contacted the parks department, so you might try your mayor and the Audubon Society.

Could they belong to someone that lives along the lake? Maybe they go home everynight. It's a thought. If not then I would pick them up. You can make up just about any excuse to whoever questions you. I went to "rescue" some Cayuga ducks a few people stopped and looke but no one asked me any questions and then they left.

Well CRJ no all the people around the lake are rich snobs and tried to get the city to remove the wild mallards they Wher making to much of a mess:he and the lake is in the middle of the city with main roads on both sides so if they tried to cross they would get hit

Also if I don't get a call tonight then we are going out tomorrow to get them not going to Waite around any longer

Theres a city park in the city next to mine that has a public pond thats full of domestic ducks and geese becouse people dump them there.
There city had a home built for them, but theres not enough food for them all, plus now the pond is full of wild geese.
The domestic ducks and geese get killed often since they cant fly away.
A few weeks ago a bunch of male pekins killed another make pekin over the 1 female I could see in the pond.
Kids just stood there and watch, a few even laughed

People who dump them are sick. They have no idea that domestic ducks and geese dont make it long in the wild....

Honestly, just go and get them if you can take them, they can't do anything to you. And if they threaten you tell them you will take them to court for not properly caring for domesticated ducks and you will win.

Just get a group of friends, cages, feed and just go do it.

We don't see many dumped around here and if I did I wouldn't wait for these stupid park people to allow them to die.
