Oh! I have an interesting question! Do you have to withhold eggs if you ONLY treat the roosters with Ivermectin or Permethrin?

I only ask this because...well, I'm just curious. We are dosing the whole flock tonight, so I will have to throw them away for two weeks at any rate.

Actually I was thinking those are just a few areas that I always look to you for answers, so I feel like they are all specialties of yours. And those are just the quick ones that popped in my head! Lol

No egg withdrawal with permethrin when used as labeled. And just double checking, that 6.7 ounce per gallon amount should not be used on the birds. For the birds, use 5 ml (one teaspoon) per quart.

Oh, yeah, I didn't use permethrin on the birds. Just in coop and on roosts. I use Ivermectin topical on the birds, because last time I had a case of scaly leg mites it was the only think that worked!

You don't have to discard eggs at all with Permethrin. I toss that days eggs just because I spray them well around vent area so there could be transfer when laid, other than that there is no transfer to egg itself.

Just dosed with ivermectin last night. Now I'm wishing I had at least given the permethrin a shot, but that's ok, we have a stockpile of eggs!
