Hello! We decided to hatch our own chicks from fertilized eggs this spring, and as a result we have five boys who need to find a new home.
To be clear, these boys are beloved pets! My daughter is very attached to them, and we would like to be able to visit them once in awhile!
First is Lance (Sir Lancelot), a black phase blue-laced red Wyandotte
He is a sweet boy who loves the hens and keeps a close eye out for predators. He is loving and will tolerate being picked up and cuddled.
Second is Maverick, a splash phase blue-laced red Wyandotte
He isn't as sociable as Lance, but he's very docile and sweet with the girls.
Third is Verne, an araucana boy with a little bit of an attitude
Fourth on the list is Spirit, an Ayam Cemani boy with a LOT of attitude! He is my daughter's favorite and as such holds a special place in our hearts. While he has beautiful irridescent feathers, he also has white on his toes, which would pass to his offspring. For that reason he is a very good boy for your flock, but not for breeding show-worthy birds.
Last, but certainly not least, Samson is a very sweet pure black Ayam Cemani roo. He has no visible white spots on his body (there appears to be some dry skin on his left lobe in this photo, but he's completely black from head to toes. If you're looking to breed ACs, you couldn't ask for a better rooster!
Like I said: these boys are PETS. They WILL NOT be going to a place where they will be treated as anything other than beloved members of the family. If you're the type to make soup whenever there's a disagreeable bird then these boys are not for you!
Please send me a message if you're interested in any of them. Local only, please.
