Thats horrible, my heart goes out to you I have had to except that my cat met a similar fate recently,our neighbors who lets their dogs "escape" every once in a while, its a pit bull and it likes our cats. About a month ago one of the cats that never leaves the porch went missing during one of these visits to our yard and we searched and search but never found her or her body. It is truely maddening how cruel people can be to animals.

Thank you all so much for the support. So many people I've told about this haven't felt much sypmathy, so thank you... I did try to find the trap and it was gone. We know the two people that trap our ditch and they both blame each other. It's frustrating how hard it is for them to tell the truth...on the other hand if I found out which one it was, something bad would SURELY happen. Thank you all once again for the sympathy and showing me that people truely care.

I am so sorry you're not getting the sympathy you deserve. My heart broke when I read what happened. I wonder if your neighbors can be kept from setting traps in your ditch - so sad that they can't actually just tell the truth and apologize. There are days I much prefer spending my time with animals rather than people...
