When you're doing something technology-involved, and you keep trying over and over again, then you go to show someone that it's not working... then it magically works.

When you're doing something technology-involved, and you keep trying over and over again, then you go to show someone that it's not working... then it magically works.

That is a real thing. It happens so much for me at work when they request my help and I get there and it works just fine for me. They all think I am magic or the tech is scared of me lol

But, one thing you find out is that about 90% of all problems is user error. The thing that is hard is being tactful enough to convince them to tell you exactly what they did so that you can help them not to do it again, but do it the right way so they are more productive. So many people get offended by the very thought that they are just doing a dumb*** thing, though. So, it is really hard to help a lot of them without them getting butthurt.

No it's just magic. And it's not just tech, either. The universe has a very warped and twisted sense of humor. I can search for a lost item for a long period of time. But as soon as I yell for DH to come help me find it, what ever it is, it immediately surrenders and reveals itself, turning up RIGHT THERE where I have looked 200 times!

No it's just magic. And it's not just tech, either. The universe has a very warped and twisted sense of humor. I can search for a lost item for a long period of time. But as soon as I yell for DH to come help me find it, what ever it is, it immediately surrenders and reveals itself, turning up RIGHT THERE where I have looked 200 times!

Oh! I have this problem too! I can't tell you how many times I've lost my phone in the house somewhere and have had to have my son call it so I can find it again. So frustrating!

I've been ON my phone, uber worried, talking to my GC, saying, I can't find my phone anywhere! .... when she politely says, Grandma ... you're talking to me on it ....

Reminds me of my mom walking around the house looking for her glasses when they were on the top of her head the whole time!

Yes, this is definitely all too real. I can attest to that. My problem solving skills don't help with it either lol

Here's a pet peeve for ya. When you fall asleep watching tv, and SOMEBODY (who shall remain nameless) wakes you up out of a lovely nap by saying, ARE YOU ASLEEP?

Is there still such a thing as justifiable ... nvm.

I remember recently I was reading something on my phone, and thought, "Oh, I need to write that down!" so I started looking for my phone so I could open the notes app. 'Twas in my hand the whole time.

I've been watching a video on my break at work and panicking because I couldn't find my phone! Or worse, worrying that I may have left my phone at work and realizing I can't call anyone at work to look for it! Gah!!!
