My pet peeve is the laugh track played on sitcoms. It drives me nuts. Newsflash!! I can tell when something is funny. I don't need a recording of a hundred braying jackasses playing in the background to let me know something is funny. I have found the perfect cure for it, though. The "off" button. I have been using it a lot.

My biggest pet peeve is narrow-minded people - who think they are right and everybody is wrong. I have more, but this one is the biggest.

I am also annoyed by the people who take a stance that is obviously wrong, and that they don't even believe in, just so they can be different and maybe start an argument.

I work in a grocery store and my biggest peeve is when people on Welfarfe come in and buy, pop, candy, chips ect with their Food card. I mean really I don't mind helping people out but when it is automatically taken out of my check and given to these people who don't use it as it was meant to be used, GRRRRR.
I also feel that people should not get cash assistance, If it is to pay utilities or rent fine, issue a check to the Landlord or utility company. I don't like watching them get $100 of the card then buying beer, liquor, cigarettes or lotto tickets.
Ok so I have a problem with the whole Welfare system in general and I have a hundred reasons why. That is my major pet peeve the rest are all little and just not worth mentioning

My pet peeve is my mother's hospital at the moment,and I am very cross. The last week I have been ignoring the visiting hours so I can help my mother move about make sure she eats and has some sort of mental stimulation. Now I have been told I have to ask for permission, this in a ward where patients have nothing to do are left in one place for hours and then they say they don't want family to see them for more than 1 hour twice a day. My mother is only waiting for a bed in a rehab so she is bored rigid being told by the occupational health nurse to move about so being stuck in a chair (she needs an arm under her to help her up) for hours isnt going to get her moving.
Second peeve I really cant understand the hatred some people have for people they have never and will never meet. Example the royal gossip forum and the I hate Kate middleton brigade the former actually claim the only reason Prince William married her because he had sex with her brother and was blackmailed into it. How can you see hate in someone you don't know. They hate her for not being born a lady like Diana, for not being a virgin. I honestly believe some people expect a Princess idol where the public would get to vote on who William got to marry.

I do a lot of small repair jobs, of all kinds, and when I do, I charge by the hour. I am very organized, effiecent and methodical. No step is missed in the process.
It annoys the ---- out of me, when a customer starts looking at their watch or saying things like, "Oh, that's not really necessary. I just want it to look good."

Another one is fellow contractors, who intentionally take shortcuts, which will eventually cause problems, just to move on to the next job, so that they can shove a few more dollars in their pockets.

Royd, my DH is not a contractor, but he is a heck of a handyman/ maintence guy. And I know what your talking about when contractors do a slap happy job grab the cash and run. Dh is called in by me, to fix friends of mine problems. Usually thats the case, if it had been properly installed in the first place, he wouldnt have to fix it. The kicker is , he never gets paid or charges because its always a case of a widow or single mom, barely scrapping by. We kinda feel like we need to right the wrong. But those kind of contractors can be added to my pet peeve list.
