I took my gosling shopping one time. The guy in the pool pump supply store was not impressed but the folks at the furniture store loved him.

I even took him to work one time. Only one guy freaked out!

I brought home a bag-o-criquets today. At first the chickens were afraid of the criquets. Watched and jumped back everytime the criquets jumped, then they figured it out. Another criquet massacre.

What a great idea!!! I'd love to take my fluffy cochin there! After all, if dogs can poop in the store, why not chickens? (They have those pooper bags with the wipees near the Banfield pet hospital area in my nearby PetSmart...).

Do I have the DUMBEST chickens in the world or what?
Maybe they're just to young to appreciate the crickets. (6 weeks today.)
After finding this thread toward the end of my workday, I had DH pick some up at Petco on the way home.
Here is the reaction we got from the ungrateful little chickens...

Curious, but no cricket.

We watched in anticipation...for at least 10 minutes.
Every time a cricket jumped they bock bock bocked all the way across the coop!

my chickens love crickets. i like to feed them 1 at a time at first just so i can watch them play "keep away" from one another.

FYI crickets are cheaper at your local bait shop,even some walmarts sell them.
