Hey Everybody

Hope everybody had a good weekend.

Here is an article from one of the other threads that I keep up with. There are some interesting bits of information about feed and feeding your chickens. Not all of it is possible for those of us that raise back yard flocks. But, there are some info that will be useful to everyone.

Good Morning Everybody,

Hope all have a good weekend.

In my attempt to learn more about chickens and trying to defeat boredom, I found this on the internet and think everybody might enjoy reading this. It's about sexing your chicks before they hatch.

we had a rough shipping day at CocoPoultryFarm

The plane that the birds were meant to travel on had vebtilation problems so they offloaded the birds abd kept them overnight in the PAL terminal at Bacolod airport.

This caused all sorts of delays.

One order of 40 birds arrived wet. Only 3 survived/

One order of 47 saw 7 die

Jimmy lost 3

We normally have very few problems.

Sad day for the chicks

Sad day for the chicks

My survivors are doing well and you would not know that they are day old chicks. When I got them home I stuck each one's beak in the water so they would know where it's at. Then I put chick booster in for them to eat. I place each chick in the food trays and that's when they acted like they were much older. They started eating and scratching the food all over the place.as if they were about a week old and had been starving to death. I am elated with them and look forward to lots of eggs in the future for me and my family. Thanks Oz.

Jimmy
