PHISHING POP UP?

Ok, I think we found the offending ad-networks and cut them off.

There's always a chance that some of the ads might still be served to you if your browser "cached" the code, but hopefully they won't be getting through.

This is a game of whack-a-mole where we find bad ads, block them, and others try to pop up.

Thanks for your help in identifying these and your patience as we work to get rid of them.
Thanks for handling this! And out of curiosity, which ad networks were they?

Thank you so much! I haven’t had it happen today, I wasn’t sure if it was coincidence or not. I’ve been holding my breath waiting for it haha! Thanks for being responsive.

On an iPhone 6s. Using safari, although immediately after posting it happened three times in a row so I’m on the app now, which has its own very annoying problem of constantly refreshing and removing the keyboard while I’m typing.
I tried deleting all data, history, and cookies. Also reset my phone. Had no effect.
I have tried the app but yea, it’s almost as annoying as the redirect. :/
I didn’t do anything to instigate it that I can think of. Byc is the only website I frequently visit, the rest is just google surfing as you do... it just started happening out of nowhere. It’s the same amazon spinning wheel every time, and it’s one of those things where you can’t press the back arrow. View attachment 1418864I did google this and apparently it happens to other people on other websites. But what I read said it was a “virus” in the website and not the phone. Sounds like a copout by apple to be honest, but I don’t know what else to do but ask here.
Lol, the grammar is bad on that ad, it's clearly a scam..

YAY! Ding dong the ad is dead, the wicked ad is dead!

I have no idea how to force quit my browser:oops:
On a Mac:
  1. Choose Force Quit from the Apple () menu, or press Command-Option-Esc. This is similar to pressing Control-Alt-Delete on a PC.
  2. Select the app in the Force Quit window, then click Force Quit.
On an iphone:

  2. Select the app in the Force Quit window, then click Force Quit.
I don't know Windows or Android so I had to look it up:

How to Force Quit in Windows 10
  • Hold Control + Alt + Delete at the same time. Your keyboard may vary. If this does not work, try Control + Shift + Escape.
  • Select Task Manager.
  • Select the unresponsive app.
  • Tap End Task.

How To Force Quit Android Apps
  1. Scroll down and tap on 'Application Manager'
  2. Scroll down in the 'Downloaded' list and tap the name of the app.
  3. Tap 'Force Stop' to fully close the application on your device.
