PHISHING POP UP?

Screenshot the ad, copy the URL, and send it to an admin. BYC uses Amazon Ads, they'll need to be contacted by the BYC admins to report the issue (and get the advertiser removed from their services).

Otherwise, an ad-blocker will protect you locally--but that will strip BYC of revenue.

Hello I am just copying and pasting my thread on this same issue. I will do a print screen if it happens again. I am using windows 10 and Chrome. I believe my system is up to date. I have just downloaded Fire Fox and will be switching browsers when I have it set up correctly.
MY PREVIOUS POST:
Hello I just opened the site walked away for 45 seconds. When I got back the site was gone and I had a pop up congratulating me as an instant winner..........of course there was a link to click on. I closed my browser and came back to post this.
Has anyone else seen this? I suppose it could be on my end.
Thanks
Stepnout.

Earlier today I was browsing BYC on my iPhone and in the middle of reading a thread I was redirected to a generic (obviously scam) “giveaway” page. When I returned to the site I was logged out and every time I try to log in again, I get redirected to the same page! My computer is doing the EXACT SAME THING when I try to log in from it. Is this happening to anyone else?

(Im typing this from my tablet, and I was already logged into BYC thank god)
I thought it might have just been my computer. I whitelisted the site so that they can make some money. After the second time with that redirect, I turned it back on. I would suggest something like ublock origin. My browser blocked the redirect and warned me, but my pc is too important to me to take chances.

I'm combining these threads since they are all related to the same thing: Rogue ads that sneak through the filters of our advertising partners.

If you see these ads, please take a screenshot and report them, but do not click on them.

We work with a bunch of ad-network partners (like Google) that have filters in place, but sometimes the bad ads slip through their filters. We're working hard to find and delete any that come through. It's a game of whack-a-mole where they just keep coming back.
