Thank you.
Just close the screen for now. Hopefully this ad is stopped soon.

Hmm.. I wonder if it's a cellphone thing? :idunno I have no idea how phones and iPads are that different though. Maybe I've just been lucky?

These ads are so sophisticated that they actually check to see if you are on a phone in two ways. First they can look for a cell data connection type rather than wifi. Second they actually check for the gyroscopic signal the phone uses for rotational display. So an ad can look harmless to the ad exchange when it is submitted because on a desktop it will load an innocent ad, but once it detects the phone signals it loads the redirect package instead.

That’s just ridiculous.
Can you block the numbers or something?
I won’t answer unless I know the number but I got rid of my landline years ago.
I refuse to pay for both.
We do, and then just began getting calls from other numbers. The scary thing is, they mask their number with our area code and we think it could be someone trying to call us from our area.
I guess we haven't tried it there yet. We just hang up the phone and try not to answer it again.
Chrome on all platforms is notoriously bad with these pop ups. Google has basically ignored the problem.
That's ridiculous, Google should be ashamed. I'll try to avoid it from now on, I'll stick to Safari. Thanks! :)
