An FYI in case you don’t know…if you breed your NN with a fully feathered roo you won’t get many NN babies. Even breeding NN to NN you can get them. So don’t be surprised when you get fully feathered chicks.Hello all BYC!
I need help picking a rooster to breed my Naked Neck hen to, I think she is a buff color. What would the chicks look like if she was bred to the Ayam Cemani, Buff Orpington, or Barnyard mix? I sold one NN to a friend and was left with two (so I thought), but later that week my mom said our neighbors dogs got a chicken and that’s when I was sure it was my second NN because I never have seen her againAnyway, I was hoping to breed some more NN, I know the will be mixes, but I love their bald necks
they are such cute chickens!!
Thank you for all the help!!

Those babies are sooooo cute!!About 1/2 the chicks will come out NN if you are lucky. I had probably hatchedView attachment 3001473
8 NN eggs or more recently, and only got 2 NN out of the bunch.
Your girl looks Nn, which means she has one naked geme and one not, hence the large feather clump amd not a bare neck. This means half the chicks will be Nn like her and half will be nn like dad theoreticallyThank you
I didn’t know that. Hopefully I will get at least one NN chick!
Thank you

Not likely half and half. In theory maybe 2 out of 8. Could be more, the law of averages and such.Your girl looks Nn, which means she has one naked geme and one not, hence the large feather clump amd not a bare neck.
