Pics Of My Goldens

Quote:
OOPS SORRY MY BAD ON THAT 1! YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT THERE, BUT STILL THE COLORING APPEARS VERY ABNORMAL, THEY APPEAR WAY TOO LIGHT COLORED, ALMOST LIKE YELLOW GOLDENS BUT YET THEY STILL HAVE SOME RED AREAS??

Thanks!
I guess thats what happens when you trust someones word on ebay. I'm gonna be pretty mad if these don't at least look like red goldens when they are full grown!

I Hope They Do Look Correct Once Grown And Colored Out. As Far As Ebay There's A Lot Of Good Folks Selling On There Too. There Is Or Has Been So Much Crossing With Goldens And Lady Ams And Whatnot It Can Be Challenging To Find Good Specimens And In Many Cases Its Not A Malicious Act But Rather Folks Who Dont Know The Differences On Them And Simply Dont Realize ... There Are Outright Disrespectful Breeders No Doubt, But Often Times Its Simply Lack Of Knowledge As Well. Its Not Just Pheasants But Almost Any Poultry For That Matter. Cant Tell You How Much Money And Time I Have Wasted Trying To Get Good Butler Bob White Breeding Stock, Or Many Others Have Trying To Get "the Real A&m's"

I hear what you are saying JJ, but this guy said he'd been selling red goldens for years on ebay with completely satisfied customers! I guess time will tell what I've got!

I agree Destin,
they apear to be crossed, red to yellow, possibly some amherst blood in there too. The heads on the 2 males are way to off colored, should be a lot darker.
They are pure "ruffed" pheasants, but no telling what they have in their lines, and unfortunately it takes them 2 years to color out, so you wont know for sure what they will look like til then.
It's easy for ebay sellers to get away with it like that, after 2 years, you cant change your feedback!
Always best to buy privately from reputable breeders to avoid stuff like this. Have seen tons of new comers this fall with "goldens" that just, well aint goldens, at least not pure or at least true to the color.
Best of luck to you with them. They'll be beautiful whatever color they end up being, but pretty sure they arent true "red" goldens
