Pearl hatched 7 poults and was taking a walk with them yesterday. Her 2 and a half month poult, Pablo, was also hanging out with them. She’s gently telling Pablo to back off a bit, but so far he’s being very good to his brothers and sisters when they walk together. He even tries to play (hops around and plops down in front of them). Funny thing is, he incubated some of these. Not kidding! He laid in the nesting box next to her on the eggs. He “dust bathed” in the eggs. When I noticed a new poult, I separated him just in case. The poults are drawn to his calls. He calls them over to eat. It’s very cute. Today she hatched another one. At least 2 more out of the 6 left are beginning to hatch.
