I have a short story... Willameena Wonka laid her first egg in my feed "dock" the other day. It's just a tub on it's side that I slide the tray with feed in during the day so in case it rains, it won't get wet. I swapped out the old tub for a bigger tub which left room for a second tray with dried grass in it. Big Boy Crow, also 19 weeks was inspecting the new tray and making it suitable for his lady love, Willameena, to lay eggs in. I got some short clips of the whole affair.. but here's a snap shot or two of a great little cockerel. He acts just like his grandfather, and father.

i had a rooster named king too..... He also turned mean so we had to sell him. What breed was he? My " king" was a silver lace Wyandotte

Cockerel making the nest. He's 19 weeks old, but does exactly like his father and grandfather before him.

just a few adjustments here and there.

Hallelujah, She likes it.. Crow singing the egg song while Willameena sits in the nest..

I also had a rooster named King!
Just got rid of him, today actually!

He was a GLW. Got rid of him and my Cochin X EE. They were both causing issues.
