How much room do the Red Goldens need per bird? Do they not need an enclosed "coop" like the chickens?

The only birds that require room is a ringneck. There are guilelines to go by but nothing enforced.Well that's in N.H. anyways.Howlands book says that 100 sq ft per pair.Yes their coop has to be fully enclosed.
In N.H.,Tony.

Tony - Kieth Howman's book (Pheasants of the world) is a good book to go by. However, the aviary sizes are a minimum. Bigger is always better.

Here is the newest one of mine: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=278483

I
have another that is about 720 sq. ft. that will house a pair of Satyr Tragopan's later this year.
I'll also be building several other new aviaries.

I don't think I asked the right question. I know they have to have an enclosed pen. But for shelter, what do they need? I noticed on many of the pics it was more like a windbreak, rather than an enclosed "coop."
