I don't necessarily like to "quilt" but I do like to embroider. This is a crazy quilt that I am working on at the moment. It may or may not get finished shortly. I get board to easily and I'm getting to that point with this one again. I will probably be putting it away for awhile and then get it back out in a couple of months.

All these quilts are beautiful!

peewee - I love your embroidery. That's going to be a fabulous piece when you are done!

Luna - Are those some of the chicen swap blocks in yours? It turned out great! And I really like the teal stars below it. It gave me an AHA moment - I don't like samplers, but the same block in a sampling of fabrics from the same color would be great.

Boy I'm off of here one day and look at the beautiful quilts.

Speckledhen as I was looking I was saying to myself I like that one the best then I saw another one and said nope thats my Favorite. They are all so beautiful how could anyone pick a favorite. But Blue is my favorite color.

Benjoycei, I know what you mean I have quilt tops that are not quilted. I think I will get them done by someone else.

Lunachick, I love that chicken quilt. It looks like it took a long time to do that.

Sonjab314, I think my DH would love that one his favorite color is orange. It is beautiful.

Peewee I love it, do you do the embroidering by hand?

erijnS, when I looked at the first pic I was wondering why you called it that then I looked as the second one. That is so cute.

If I missed anyone I'm sorry, halo is right they are all beautiful.

Here are some of the lady’s in my guild. They are showing a mystery quilt we did I got the directions for the bottom one but that’s as far as I got. Now if I can find them when I want to make it is another thing.

Here's one I made this past Christmas time. I actually made 3 like this for gifts (each a little different) and then I am working on another one that has poinsettia basket in the middle instead of cardinals and will be also a little different on the side squares/blocks.

Here is one I made the winter of 1999/2000 it was from a McCall's pattern called Cardinals in the Cabin. I made the other ones with cardinals and log cabin blocks last xmas because I loved this one so much even though it is pretty faded now LOL. I made the new ones a little different and with different colors but the center part is similar to this one.

Not weird at all. I actually think I don't particularly like any part of actually putting the quilt together. I love love love designing the quilt, and I like seeing it come together, and I love being able to say, "look what I've done!" But I can't say I'm really a huge fan of cutting, piecing, or quilting. Partly because I tend to be too much of a perfectionist and when the blocks don't line up absolutely perfectly (which they never do!) it makes me crazy. I have to remind myself that it's only a very small flaw and probably no one else will ever see it but me. I hand quilt, since me and my sewing machine aren't the best of friends, and it takes so long. I have a quilt in progress that I've been working on for 4 years now, I just have to finish quilting the border and bind it, but the border quilting is just straight lines and I get bored doing them.
