I agree - love that one, Redwing. It looks like a rail fence pattern, is that what it is? I've always done rail fence just using 3 colors, but I love yours! I'm thinking that might be an awesome pattern for a quilt I was just asked last night to do (one made of scraps of clothes for my hubby's 2nd cousin).
Coyote, most of the guys only did a little square or two each night, but I think it is awesome that they contributed. Mike often goes fabric shopping with me and he'll help me decide on fabrics when I have them spread all over the floor trying to make up my mind (like last night on the binding for the Relay for Life quilt). I'm glad he is willing to share his opinion with me.
It's sad how little some people value quilts. I know I had over $100 just in materials for Rosie's quilt (and that was with a 10% discount the quilt shop gave me because they knew Rosie). I don't usually keep track of how much I have in a quilt because it is depressing. lol. So far the people I've given quilts to really seem to appreciate them and I'm thankful for that. It's a lot of work to have someone not care!
