I don't have any issues with Tattoos per say I have 2, I got 35 yrs ago when I was young and in the service, now they just look old and faded, and I wish I never got them in the first place. The thing about Tatoos is for instance if a woman has one of those on her back above/below her belt line, Tramp stamps as they call them. They are fine when your 22 but what happens when your 80 and have blue hair and your at the beach with your grandkids, may look strange but then again there will be hundreds of others there who also have them LOL. Piercings are also not bad if small and well placed and can even be attractive, but all the large piercings in your nose and tongue and lips and eye area's kinda makes them look like my favorite fishing lures LOL. One thing I really don't get is those big disc looking things guy's are wearing in their ear lobes, like those African tribesman deals, it's fine if your a Zulu warrior, but for some 20 something yr old guy from cleveland, LOl well it seems a little out of place. I think people can do whatever they want to their bodies, it's their bodies, who are we to say anything. It's just some look good and others.......... well...... not so much LOL.

I like tramp tats and tats on shoulders and upper chest on women. I've never cared on men either way unless it's a cool tattoo. I had a manpower guy that worked for me that had F you on the inside of his lower lip, spelled out. I was so amused I had to take a picture of it. DW wants me to get a tat that says Property of Lori.

actually when you get your tongue split they go right down the middle thats a regular tongue piercing i think your talking about i got the underneath part of my tongue done. ya i find that completely repulsive.

I often wondered why those who are all pierced and tatted up get an attitude when someone stares at them? Maybe the person staring is trying to see all the "art" that is covering the body. Or maybe they're just trying to figure out "why?" After all, if it's to show "individuality" as I have been told by friends inked up, then isn't that the same as attention seeking because it's "different"?

I also wondered if all the piercings all over someone's face get caught in the washcloth.

Personally, I wouldn't hire someone all pierced up and make no apologies for that. Some tats are ok, though I feel if you're in a professional position, they should be put where they can be covered and feel that moderation is key.

Obviously by now you know I don't have any.

I like change and know I'd be bored with it within a year. Besides, gravity works, skin starts to sag and it just ain't purty later in life. Again, to each his/her own. I just can't wait to see the beach babes in another 40-50 years.

I do know that nostril piercing is associated with traditional Indian medicine. It is supposed to help with childbirth and female troubles....

My friend 15 years ago got a cute little gecko on her hip.. awwww it looked so perdy

FF 8 years she got pregnant with twins and then a single pregnancy.. 3 babies in 2 years... that awww so perdy lil gecko looked like a gator that had a stroke!...

Not much into piercings but i have many tats,one of the fantasia Mickey mouse(yeah i just sang it,Mickey mouse),one day when i get time i will post pictures of them all.

In general, I find tattoos and body piercings unattractive. I don't mind small nose (nostril) piercings or a very small chin piercing. I don't like most other facial piercings, and I find more than a couple of ear piercings unattractive. This is just in general, and just my preferences. Piercing below the neckline give me the heeby geebies. I have seen a few tattoos that I like. I have seen far more poorly executed and poorly thought out tattoos. And everyone under 35 seems to have them in the Austin area. There are even kids at the middle school with tattoos.

For me, I don't think there are many things that would have enough long term meaning for me to have them marked on my body. I know my kids names, after all, I did give them their names. Everyday, I reaffirm my commitment to my dh. The only thing I could think of would be the mountains of home, and I don't think any tattoo artist could do them justice. Or perhaps, the Tlinget version of the love birds, Eagle and Raven. But that would take a very special artist, with a good knowledge of northwestern native art.

What had great meaning for me in my twenties, doesn't necessarily have great meaning today. I'm put to mind of a phrase from a song "I"ve changed my hairstyle so many times, I don't know what I look like". My tastes and interests have changed so much, I'm rather glad I don't have a tattoo from my 20s.

this may not always be the case... if you get old and senile you may need refresher notes...LOL (jk)

I have tats and piercings ... all of mine can be covered with clothing

every tat has a meaning... right down to the Nikki Sixx tattoo on my left wrist!​
