piercings and tattoos for them or against them?

I am ok with piercings cause you can just take them out. But when I see someone with gages in both ears, I think to my self, "Good luck getting a job with those things." I am ok with tattoos also but I would never get the type that cover up all of your arm (I think they are called sleeves).

I don't care for tats on women - the ones that go all the way up a leg, or cover an entire arm. However, that is just my own personal feelings and in this day and age one would be hard pressed to find many people under the age of 30 that DON'T have tattooes. My son has those snakebite piercings - one little ring on each side of his bottom lip.

I have a tattoo and plan one more, the one I have is our Farm Logo, two interlocked hearts . This is special to me as our Farm Name is a variation on our last name and also is how describes the love my husband and I share. The second one is sketched, it is a baby, sleeping in a hand with angel wings and it has clouds surrounding it . It is in honor of our son. I had 3 holes in my right ear and two in my left, but I rarely wear earrings

Do what makes you happy.

I have 3 lobe piercings in each ear and my left cartilidge pierced. I'd love to get a tattoo somebody but I can be allergic to metals, so not sure how that would work. I also think nose piercings are cute. I'd like to have one and put a tiny diamond stud in, but im not a fan of needles.

I have one tattoo with plans for another in the next year or 2. I had 9 piercings at one point but all except my ears have been taken out. I think that every person has the right to do what they wish with their body. Sometimes it is a beautiful reminder and sometimes not so much. I have an angel on my back that is looking over her shoulder to remind me that my brother is always watching my back even though he has been gone for some time now. It took me 5 months of looking for the right picture and 5 more months to find the right artist to do it. I'm really happy I got it and now it will take me a while more to get my next one that will be a tribute to my daughter and our love of classical music. I didn't get them to be different I got them to remind myself that in the end everything will be OK and if it's not OK it's not the end.

Tattoos are alright

To each his own, but for me... NOPE.
I have the normal one in each ear.
Once had a friend that worked in a hospital... said the favorite pastime was trying to figure out what wrinkly tattoos once were... from there on NOPE... don't want someone looking that close at my body

I do think it makes it harder to get a job... unless you can easily cover it up.

But as I said... to each his own.

Its against my religion, so I don't tattoo or pierce (other than ears, which are permissible). I find it a bit odd when I see those with tattoos whose religions outlaw them, especially if they are religious tats!

Otherwise, I just worry about people being able to get jobs. Conspicuous tattoos or piercings wouldn't work in the mental health industry and its fairly conservative overall, so I doubt that will change soon.
