Baby Hawk in nest near my house. Not too worried, mom and dad eat rodents mostly.

Edit: Just learned the term for unfledged hawk/raptor nestling = 'eyas'

Edit to add that I should have used 'fledgling' not eyas, it has flown.

Still hanging around on one of 2 favorite spots, High dead limb or top of historical society museum, both less than 100ft from the nest. He returned to the nest briefly this morning when mom brought breakfast. He/she seems to be watching me as closely as I watch him. Apparently not bothered by the fireworks last night.
