Well I checked the level in my calcium feeder and it is EMPTY outside of some powder and a bit inside the feeder that did not gravitate from the silo portion into the tray. If calcium is the cause of my birds trouble the empty feeder did not help the problem.I think I've heard of hens not being able to fly bc of calcium depletion.

I feed crushed egg shells back to my chickens for the calcium plus they free range 5 acres and wherever else they wanna go on this side of the mountain so calcium hasnt been an issue for them.... My question is, when I do get pigeons, can I feed the chicken egg shells to them as well or will I need to give something else?Well I checked the level in my calcium feeder and it is EMPTY outside of some powder and a bit inside the feeder that did not gravitate from the silo portion into the tray. x2 for the return! And I think yes on the chicken egg shells. I would let them dry and crush them up.
Still gonna hope he does for ya.

I can do that..I always dry them and then crush them into a powder and sprinkle it in their grit. Probably not the best way though.

I brought 21 doves to be released at the cenotaph on November 11, 2018.One cage was released by the veterans the second cage was released by 2 young members in attendance. There was a count down by the crowd to initiate the release. It was very well received and I plan to do this as long as I am able.
