I have removed missies bandage. She seemed very grateful! Her wing is sitting about the same height as her other wing now. I only tried a little bit of movement and she seemed in some discomfort so I let her be. She can lift it like as if she is shrugging, so I'm hopeful it's mostly fixed. I think that it will be quite some time before she gains full movement but I'm not going to rush her. She is preening her feathers now.
I'm also going to let humf out with beau later. I just hope he feels this is home now. He has been using the Bob wires no problem. :fl if humf flys and returns that will be my whole loft flying!

Happy progress for Missie! I think you are right to take things slow. Have you offered her a bath? When I put a bowl of water for Doba a few weeks ago she just stood in it, I think bc of her wing - couldn't splash. A bath might encourage Missie to try and use her wing.
Beau is your feral, right? He just showed up?
edit added - Refreshed my memory, Beau was injured when he came, I forget how?

Beau is #64! He's the one that doesn't fly too much! Lucky is the ex racer with the broken leg(who is now perfectly fine and alpha male!) and missy is a feral from the stables! I have a log with all the birds. It could easily get confusing!

I might try a bath for her. I'm sure she would like it. Maybe in a couple of days though. How is doba doing? Have you had to bandage her wing?
I'm starting to encourage her to use the wing and I'm going to try a liquid calcium supplement. I'm not even certain there is a fracture. Hokumcoco and Backyard Pigeons reminded me thhey can lose the ability to fly temporarily for other, sometimes mysterious reasons. So I'm not seeing a reason to bandage. It only droops occasionally and she soon gets it back in place. I'm trying to decide if she stays outside or I bring her in....or make a protective cage for her in the loft as I try to reintegrate her. She'd probably get more intensive PT if I bring her in...but then I can't use non-stick cookware and end up with take out.:th

Wouldn't she be better outside with her friends and so you can eat?
