Pigeon Bulletin Board?

Me too! Everytime we're out and about if I see any I always look to see what there is. I was on the beach in the summer and a stray landed near me, it had bands on both legs. It flew off though so I'm hoping it got to where it was going. And there is alot of really nice colours out there.
It seems like feral flocks have a large percentage of racing homer in the genes as this breed goes astray and is more equipped to survive as a feral than the fancier varieties.

I don’t think I ever paid much attention to feral pigeons before I got into them. I was at Rural King last week, leaving and drove past a small flock in the parking lot. I was shocked to see an almost all white one! I wanted to try to catch it. :gig
THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ONE OF MY RUNAWAYS.:old only 581 miles. Able to make that in 10 hours.:th

This is just wild! Today i saw a piole of white feathers in our woods and i wondered if it was a pigeon but i hadnt lost a pure white in a long time. But then i got to thinking, there are no pure white wild birds around here except for the RARE albino whatever. So i went back out and found the feathers and was looking for a band and sure enough, a plastic red peice that had been chewed on by i dont know what. It was a pigeon! :( so that means unless it was lost, a feral, on a toss, or during a race(whick is unlikely due to the non seamless band) there is another pigeon keeper around here. (Most likely right in our area)!
