Pigeon Bulletin Board?

Are you going to keep him? Will you breed him?(i wouldnt breed him!)
He can stay if he wishes but I'm not going to let him or any of them breed as my loft is at capacity. He was very determined to migrate from his home flock to mine and he is interesting to watch. @cavemanrich pointed out that his chances of surviving the winter are markedly improved.

I can understand your answer because you desire rollers and other type of pigeons with certain colors. (that is the impression I got from reading your posts):thumbsup

I can see BIO that you are up to capacity at this time. But accidental hatchings do happen,,,,,,,,,,:idunno:oops: as you know first hand. You may consider selling some of your birds in the future to make room for more new arrivals.:love
I did mention this some 500 posts earlier. Some 35 years ago or earlier, a certain fancier I knew did breed ferals into his racing homers. He did alright. The ferals arrived at his loft same way as yours did.

hey guys,,,, there's good food here:drool,,,,, way better than under the bridge, and talk about noise:rolleyes:)
@Hokum Coco had the feral that returned over 700 miles. :thumbsup:highfive:

If someone is looking for homing pigeons, and not particular that they are not from a SUPER FAST BLOODLINE. (like in racing) Ferals will be generally good homers.
I have no intention of racing, but do like releasing. If I can find a batch of white ferals, they will be mine.:love

If you have difficulty in finding white pigeons I can suggest this.

It comes recommended!!

I don’t think I ever paid much attention to feral pigeons before I got into them. I was at Rural King last week, leaving and drove past a small flock in the parking lot. I was shocked to see an almost all white one! I wanted to try to catch it. :gig
Me too! Everytime we're out and about if I see any I always look to see what there is. I was on the beach in the summer and a stray landed near me, it had bands on both legs. It flew off though so I'm hoping it got to where it was going. And there is alot of really nice colours out there.

And when I see small groups flying together, I wonder if they belong to someone and are just out on their daily fly! :)

@cavemanrich - I think I'm on the same page as you re ferals. Loper likes the buffet for sure and always has a full crop at roost time. I think he also sees the advantage of living in a 'gated community' where the rif-raf like raptors are excluded.

No doubt!
